Fun Friday with Emily!

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Fun Friday!
Today I'm sharing an awesome card featuring one of our newest Spooky Unicorns!
I love this Mushrooms and Bats image and how you could take it in either the spooky route or the soft and gentle route.  I tried to do a little cross of both by putting the card into a dark scene with the large super moon coming up behind her, but also giving her a playfully colored mane and some shimmer.

For this card, I used my Prismacolor pencils.  With so much coloring and dimension, I find pencils are best for me since I have a lot more control over where the color goes.  And I can use a blending solution to smooth everything out once I'm done if I wish.

Once everything was colored, I layered the whole panel onto a black piece cut to the same size, but shifted them so they criss-cross.  Then layered these panels onto a Kraft mat that I added some brown colored embossing paste through a dot stencil onto.

The sentiment was white heat embossed right onto my unicorn panel and that finished the card!

You have a little bit of time left to join in our current challenge to use brown or Kraft cardstock on your card!  I hope you will join in!!

Thanks for visiting!! <3

Fun Friday with Bonnie! Flip, Rotate, Shake and Sparkle!!

It is another FUN Friday!
Are you ready to Flip, Rotate, Shake and Sparkle??

Have you noticed that the image that Sami uses as her logo is her image called, Spring Branch?

Did you know that using digital images can allow you more creativity than a rubber stamp??

For this card I copy/pasted two images* into my editing program. (I actually used Word).
Then i flipped on horizontally.
Then i rotated both of the images to get an "arch" look.
(*I made the image into a PNG so that i could layer it on top of my digital paper)

Next i hole punched inside of the center of the "arch". Then i hand cut the inside out.

Now for a bit of "shaking"
I just added sparkly tulle to the back of the image.
Got out my oval dies and made a "frame" for my shaker base.
I find using thick watercolor paper and gluing the layers together works well for my shaker base.

Let's sparkle and add some sequins and glitter sequins!
Don't forget we have an awesome challenge going on using sequins!!

(shows the sequins well but dulls the coloring when taking the photo from the top)

Under the Sea

Hello everyone!  Rae Ann here with a Fun Friday inspiration that will take you under the sea!  The new release this month was Salty Seahorses and I have one of the sweet stamps from the new release for you today.

I colored this sweet image using Copic markers then cut it out using my Silhouette Cameo.  The background paper is from a digital collection called Ocean Melody which is available on Snap Click Supply.

You still have time to join our challenge to use pearls or sequins on your project.  Don't forget that you have to use a Sami Stamps image to play along and win.
